I always have a blast building effects and doing repairs for fellow musicians. I wanted to share some pictures of a recent build I did for the talented Brent Lindsay (aka Soupbone). You can check out his website at https://www.brentalindsaymusic.com. I put this together from a Russian Big Muff kit by BuildYourOwnClone.com (BYOC). This pedal really came together great and has an awesome tone. Credit for the custom graphics goes to my lovely wife Darcy.

Metal film resistors and capacitors were used throughout. These are better quality components than what was in the originals and will have lower background noise than the original Big Muff. I also kept the wires as short as possible to prevent any extra noise.

For added versatility, there are two extra toggle switches compared to an original Big Muff. The switch on the left bypasses the tone stack altogether and gives quite a big volume boost. The toggle switch on the right changes the EQ shape. You can select flat, mid scoop, or mid boost. It gives you more flexibility to fit with the rest of your rig.

As I mentioned before, I always have a great time building effects. If you’re interested in a custom clone of a specific effect please contact me at snestler86@gmail.com. I can do custom colors, graphics, LED color and other options.
